IFD Migrant Health Summit 2022

The Migrant Health Summit 2022, will take place in Malta on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 May. This is an exciting opportunity for dermatologists and other professionals concerned with the health of migrant groups and refugees, to meet like-minded professionals, learn about the latest developments, and develop best practice for dermatological care of migrants.
The Migrant Health Summit is provided by the International Foundation for Dermatology (IFD) in partnership with the Genito-Urinary Clinic (GUC) of the Dermatology Department at Mater Dei Hospital, Malta.
We encourage you to attend in person to get the most benefit from the event, but online participation is also available. The event is FREE to attend (see below for location and accommodation details for those attending in person).
Sessions will cover many topics including:
- Climate change, migration and the impact on skin health
- Middle East refugee crisis – update from the field
- How self-care interventions could help
- Skin and sexual health initiatives in Africa
- New models of intervention – teledermatology

The main sessions will be from 16:30 – 19:00 on Friday 13 May and from 09:00 – 13:30 Saturday, with a choice of workshops following the networking lunch on Saturday (all timings Central European Summer Time).
Accommodation is also available at the venue hotel and we have negotiated a discounted rate for Summit participants – please ask for details of how to book. The event is free to attend but IFD regrets that it cannot cover the cost of flights or accommodation for participants.
