The ESPD Annual Meeting Organizing Committee has considered input from national and international health organizations to determine the scheduling of ESPD 2020. The organizing committee has decided to postpone this year’s annual meeting due to the risks associated with the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
The 20th ESPD Annual Meeting in Vienna, Austria, will now be held from Wednesday to Friday, 12 – 14 May 2021.

The 20th ESPD Annual Meeting will be held as a virtual conference on the same dates and with the same programme as originally planned. This decision has been taken by the ESPD executive board as a result of the ongoing uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The International-Society-for-Biophysics-and-Imaging-of-the-Skin (www.ISBSkin.org) focuses on the development, use and spread of knowledge on skin biophysical and imaging techniques. World Congresses on Biophysics and Imaging of the Skin are held on a two-year schedule.
The ISBS World Congress on Biophysics and Imaging of the Skin 2020 was planned at the Center of Berlin in the historical Langenbeck-Virchow-House opposite to the Charité and just a few meters away from the former Wall-of-Berlin. Due to Corona-pandemia the Congress was annulated.
In June 5-8th 2021 the Berlin-team organises a virtual ISBS World Congress on Biophysics and Imaging of the Skin.
