The International Eczema Council has announced their Symposium: The Impact of Environmental, Food, and Contact Allergies on Atopic Dermatitis At AAAAI / WAO Joint Congress 2025 in San Diego, USA on 27 February 2025.
The incidence of atopic dermatitis is increasing globally. While significant advances have been made towards the understanding of the pathophysiology and immunologic dysfunction in atopic dermatitis, less is known about its interplay with comorbid allergic conditions including the role of the epithelial barrier defect, environmental impacts, food and drug allergies, and allergic contact dermatitis. Furthermore, can novel treatments potentially lead to remission or halting the dreaded atopic march? The goal of this session is to provide attendees with an in-depth discussion and overview of the impact of various allergies on atopic dermatitis and novel, potentially disease altering treatments for atopic dermatitis.
