Guadalajara elected as Host City for the 2027 World Congress of Dermatology

Guadalajara, Mexico has been chosen as the host city for the 26th World Congress of Dermatology (WCD) in 2027. The decision was made by Members of the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) during the ILDS Ordinary General Meeting held in Singapore on July 5th, 2023.

WCD 2027 websiteThis prestigious event, held every four years, brings together dermatology professionals from around the world to share knowledge and advance the field. Guadalajara had been put forward as the host city by several esteemed dermatological societies in Mexico, and preparations are underway to ensure an outstanding Congress.
Exciting Plans for the 2027 World Congress of Dermatology: The Mexican Academy of Dermatology, along with the Mexican Society of Dermatology, Mexican Society of Dermatologic Surgery and Oncology, and Mexican Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser presented compelling plans for the 2027 World Congress of Dermatology. These organisations have been actively involved in promoting dermatology in Mexico and have demonstrated their commitment to hosting a successful event. With Guadalajara as the chosen location, preparations are set to create a memorable and impactful congress for all attendees.

Professor Jorge Ocampo-Candiani has been appointed as the President of the 2027 World Congress of Dermatology, while Dr Mariel Isa Pimentel will serve as the Secretary-General. Both individuals possess extensive knowledge and expertise in dermatology and are honored to be entrusted with leading this significant event. Their dedication and enthusiasm are already driving the preparations to ensure a successful congress in 2027.
We are delighted that ILDS Members and dermatologists from around the world will be meeting in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2027. The Mexican Academy of Dermatology, together with the Mexican Society of Dermatology, Mexican Society of Dermatologic Surgery and Oncology and Mexican Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser presented exciting plans for the WCD 2027 and we look forward to preparing an outstanding congress.
