Her previous roles include Senior Account Manager at Kenes Asia (a regional division of a global conference management business) in Singapore, where she set up the company for the Asia-Pacific region, covering 28 countries, and led medical association management for a wide-ranging portfolio of clients. Earlier in her career, Arpita spent ten years at the Royal College Physicians in London as Membership Services Manager.
Arpita will work closely with the ILDS Board and staff team to build on achievements of the ILDS 2015-2019 Strategy. The last five years, under Jo Groves leadership, have seen ILDS strengthen its collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), hold a fantastically successful and truly global World Congress of Dermatology (WCD), seen significant growth in the work of the International Foundation for Dermatology (IFD), an increase of the ILDS membership from 150 to 195 organisations, and the development of a professional Secretariat from one person to a team of nine staff. Jo passes on a strong foundation to Arpita for the implementation of the ILDS 2020-2023 Strategy and beyond.
Arpita is delighted to be joining ILDS at this exciting time of its growth and onward development. She thanks the ILDS Board, outgoing Executive Director Jo Groves and all the ILDS Team for their warm welcome.
ILDS is a strong global community who work collaboratively to make a difference to the welfare, and skin health of people around the world. Together there has been great progress and I am proud and committed to contribute my experience to support its work and growth and be at the forefront at this next strategic phase for the organisation.
