To celebrate World Skin Health Day, they hosted a free educational conference on teledermatology, neglected tropical diseases, and skin cancer, attended by a wide range of healthcare students and professionals. Speakers and topics included, but was not limited to:
In addition to this, Gamal Abdel Nasser University of Conakry ran a multimedia campaign on skin health. It also provided free dermatological consultations and treatment for People Living with Albinism (PWAs) in Guinea, including sunscreens and further care. In total, they treated 277 PWAs and provided educational resources to patients and their families, including tips on sun protection and reducing the risks of skin cancer.
