The 23rd annual RDTC International CME conference, 10-13 January 2018

The 23rd annual Regional Dermatology Training Centre (RDTC) International Continuing Medical Education (CME) conference took place 10 -13 January 2018. The theme was “Our Call – Our Responsibility – Skin Care for All”.
There were 15 sessions on DermatoVenereology, Leprosy, HIV/STIs and Public Health Dermatology. The 36 speakers included Residents and ADDV trainees, as well as international specialists. There were 170 registered participants from 22 countries (including 12 African Countries), 71 of whom were past graduates returning to the RDTC for the conference.
Alongside this was the African Dermatopathology Conference. There were 61 registered specialists from 4 continents and 19 countries (12 of which were African countries), 17 pathologists and 44 dermatologists.
This year also saw the official launch the Tanzanian Association for Dermatology (TASOD).
The 24th RDTC Annual CME Conference will take place 9-12 January 2019 in Moshi, Tanzania.
