What we do
The ILDS provides leadership and support through global initiatives, projects and policies to help people affected by skin disease.
Our mission is to increase cooperation and communication within the dermatology community. We aim to promote high quality education, clinical care, research and innovation that will improve skin health for people everywhere.
Projects and Programmes
We work on many international projects, programmes, partnerships and networks to improve skin health around the world. This includes our annual grant programmes, Committee and Working Group activities, through to the Community Skin Health journal and developing guidelines with the World Health Organization (WHO).
Partnerships and Networks
The ILDS is a global organisation, raising dermatology issues at the highest level. We work closely with many other groups, including the World Health Organization (WHO). These connections provide opportunities to raise awareness of the cross-cutting nature of skin health and to increase the profile of dermatology globally.
World Congress of Dermatology
The World Congress of Dermatology (WCD) is ILDS' flagship event held every four years. Each Congress, hosted by an ILDS Member organisation, brings together dermatology professionals from all over the world to share their experience and learn from the best. The next WCD takes place 21-26 June 2027 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
