Ageing and Life Course

We are working with the WHO, the Global Coalition on Ageing (GCOA), the International Association of Geriatrics and Gerontology (IAGG) and national public health authorities. Together we are driving forward the WHO strategy on a Life Course of Healthy Skin.

We aim to conduct research to improve understanding of skin ageing and the physical, mental and social implications, including:

• Analyse the economic impact of healthy skin on active and healthy ageing
• Establish global centres of excellence on skin health and ageing to set goals and coordinate a global plan
• Develop training for caregivers and professionals in public health, medical and nursing roles. This includes embedding healthy skin practices into long term and home care for the elderly.
• Innovate through new technologies, products and care methods to prevent skin deterioration and maintain good skin health
