The ILDS, as part of its work in advocating for global skin health, aims to recognise dermatologists and others in the field of dermatological care who have made an outstanding contribution to global dermatology through ILDS Awards.
The ILDS Certificate of Appreciation Awards are awarded annually to recipients who are nominated by ILDS Members and have been recognised as having made outstanding contributions in either of the following categories:
Those that have made significant contributions to furthering international dermatology. These are dermatologists that have shown international leadership which has had an impact on global health policies and practices, furthering cross-border research, education and empowerment of dermatologists, their societies and the public.
Those that have been undertaking their work in a selfless, humanitarian and not-for-profit manner to improve the skin health of people in under-served areas of the world.
Eligible ILDS Members* can nominate up to 2 people in total from their society - these can be two nominations in one category or one nomination in each category.
*Eligible ILDS Members are those that are active and in good standing (with no outstanding fees).
