Introducing the Global Atopic Dermatitis Atlas (GADA): Established by the ILDS in 2022, GADA aims to compile comprehensive data on atopic dermatitis worldwide. By standardizing data collection and analysis, GADA seeks to provide vital insights for patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and policymakers. Led by Professor Carsten Flohr (King’s College London, UK) and his team, this project is in collaboration with the ILDS, the International Society of Atopic Dermatitis (ISAD), the International Eczema Council (IEC), the European Taskforce for Atopic Dermatitis (ETFAD) and the International Alliance of Dermatology Patient Organizations (GlobalSkin).
With its inaugural global report published in 2022 and major funding from the LEO Foundation announced in 2023, the GADA project hopes to close the gaps in epidemiological data, address the barriers and unmet patient needs and raise awareness of the disease-burden to key stakeholders in the coming years.
