The World Congress of Dermatology (WCD) is organised by the ILDS and is one of the largest dermatology meetings in the world.
The WCD is held every four years. The first WCD was held in Paris in 1889 and the next, the 26th WCD will be held in Guadalajara, Mexico from 21 - 26 June 2027. The WCD enables specialists to share their knowledge, research results and clinical experiences, and build their professional networks.
Over the past 130 years, the WCD has brought together experts and relevant organisations and raised the importance of skin diseases.
The theme for WCD 2027 is 'Discover the Dermatology Ecosystem for a Diverse and Inclusive Future'.
The Congress aims to improve cooperation across geographic, political and economic borders and improve skin health for all. The broad programme covers clinical areas, community engagement and research.
This will be an inclusive event that celebrates diversity.

The WCD is held every 4 years by the ILDS. Each WCD is hosted by an ILDS Member organisation. This makes the Congress a unique event that reflects the culture of its host city and showcases the local dermatology community. Learn more about the bids to host WCD 2027.
There have been 25 WCDs since the first congress was held in Paris in 1889. The last congress was held in July 2023 and hosted by the Dermatological Society of Singapore (DSS).
